Recording Secretary: Lanette Edwards (UFCW 1625)

Board Trustees:

Naze Sahebzamani (AFT 7432)

Roy Sorensen (IATSE 412)

Kim Smith (IBEW 824)

Jim Junecko (IUOE 487)

Martha Stevens (ATU 1464)

Megan Flocken (AFT 7432)

Stewart Cohen (UFT)

We're all looking forward to the next two years with this great team of sisters and brothers!

Here's what's coming up:

- On Monday (6/10), our bimonthly Manasota Activist Group meeting will be held at Perkins Restaurant in Sarasota (5921 Fruitville Rd) at 6:30PM. This meeting serves as an avenue for all union activists in Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties to get involved with the CLC. If you live in the area, come out and join us!

Keep in Mind:

Attacks on federal workers continue. Under the Trump Administration's new proposed contract for Department of Veterans' Affairs employees, workplace rights would be stripped away significantly. There are more than 200,000 employees that would be impacted by this contract, which would reduce official time by a staggering 99% includes cuts to other areas such as employee training and workplace safety. All of these cuts, along with the over 40,000 staff vacancies at the VA nationwide, would make it much harder for employees to give our veterans the care that they need.

That's all for this week! Follow us on Facebook andTwitter for more updates. If you would like to receive text message alerts from the Florida AFL-CIO (Msg & data rates may apply), text FLUNION to 235246!

In Solidarity,
