Here's what you need to know this week:

Downtown Clearwater Starbucks Workers Join Nationwide ULP Strike

Today at 1pm, members of Starbucks Workers United at the 433 Cleveland Street location went on strike. Workers across the country have been on strike for a month with more workers joining them each Thursday. These Clearwater workers are the first to hit the picket line in the West Central Florida area. Workers at a store in Oviedo also joined the strike today. Despite four years of organizing, Starbucks Workers United is still without a first contract. The outstanding issues are wages, scheduling, and the company's union-busting.

The Clearwater workers are asking for solidarity from the labor movement. Respond to this email for picket line hours. Additionally, there is a strike fund for striking workers at this store that you can donate to via GoFundMe: https://bit.ly/SB433
